This past weekend we hopped on a bus to Mendoza, Argentina to be watch the World Cup Championship game, watching and cheering along with the Argentinians. The bus was only 7 hours, with a 3 hour stop for customs in the middle, ugh, but luckily the route went right through the Andes mountains, so we got to have beautiful views on our way. Here's a few pictures of what we saw outside of our window on the ride!

The first thing we did when we got in was go to a restaurant for steak and Malbec at a great restaurant that our hostel recommended, La Floriana. It was the perfect "Welcome to Argentina!" combination.
The next day we woke up early, had a lovely hostel breakfast of toast and cereal and headed out to buy Argentina gear. I got a few little flags and painted flags on my face (luckily their flag is simple!) and we staked out a spot in a crowded bar that was projecting the game on one of the walls. Everyone was so pumped, and the chants and cheers were continuous for the whole 120 minutes of the game. Even though they lost when Germany made a goal in the last 5 minutes of overtime, the Argentinians were still so proud of their country. They kept the cheers rolling, and took to the streets with their flags and undying enthusiasm. It was so fun to be among the crowd!
It was a great weekend away experiencing another city, but I can't wait to get back to my city, and keep exploring everything that Viña has to offer!
The next day I went to class, and took a few pictures of what my daily life looks like here. Enjoy!

| I always get a tinge of homesickness when I pass this on my way to class. It says "The magic of Walt Disney World awaits you" It's right! |

| The waves were crazy today for some reason! Normally the water is calm and quiet, but today it was crashing up over the rocks and onto the sidewalk. |

I'm getting more and more comfortable in the city, and am still so happy to be here, although I definitely miss my family (in Florida and at App :), which is pretty evident by the many pictures that I have posted of all of my loved ones all over my room. Don't worry, I'm not having so much fun that I am forgetting about y'all :) PS I have great internet in my apartment, so skype dates can happen whenever!
Besos!
